canary help !!!!

Ok here goes...new here..1st post.. ok my canary is about 4 years old , used to sing beautiful but not anymore and also during the day lies in her food(sleeps)..1st vet 3yrs ago said we had beautifuke male ..now 3 years later latest vet says we have beautiful female..and that she is in age that she thinks she will be laying an egg so probably why she lies in food...anyway she eats normal sleeps perk up high but only after awakening bath and breakfast lol than she lies in food...does not sing anymore......can anybody help ..ty
