HI, I dont have my baby yet, dont even know the sex, just a deposite, but I want a name. Here are names I am kicking around... hopefully in another week or so I will have photos from the breeder to post!

I like the name tabu, it took me ages to name my greenwing that i picked up last week i searched the net and here for something different, we have called He/She Topaz as they come in all dif colours and my birth stone is topaz so means somthing to me.

I like them all! Tabu is neat though because a lot of people do consider it Tabu to own a giant macaw as a pet. But I also like Honey because if he/she could learn to say its own name, that would really sound adorable. I dont know! I really do like them all for one reason or another.

"Bob" works for us :-).

I've seen about a zillion birds named "Zazu", "Sapphire" and any form of "Mac".

Names for "blue" also include "Azul", "Aqua", "Lapis", "Azure", "Cobalt", etc. Have you thought of some of the naming sites out there?

Maybe once you have the baby's gender, it'll be easier to choose a name. Or, you might like an androgynous kind of name like "Robin", "Francis", "Danny/Dani", etc.

Of the names on your list, I prefer "Saffron" and "Honey". 'Course, you prolly don't wanna name a boy "Honey".... :-).

I think I really do lean towards honey, even if "honey" is a boy! but that will certainly not go over real well with the hubby. But he named our G2 GooBoo, who is now mostly just called goo. I thought THAT was a pretty dumb name but I didnt say anything so now it is my turn to pick the name! Honey is something that would sound very cute if the bird ever learned to say it, and goes good for the gold color on the chest. So, I cant sware to it, but I think it is going to be Honey.
