introducing rio to dogs...

ok I have another question for you guys... We have two dogs(shaggy a white schnauzer 7yrs of age and sissy a corgy spitzs mix 4yrs of age). we put Rio's cage together a couple of weeks ago to get them used to it. they don't mind it just as with the finch cages. My question is when we bring rio home how should I go about introducing him to the pups, and how soon should I do this? I know to never leave him unatended around them. This is something that has been weighing on my mind though I don't want them to scare him or cause him to start some bad behaviors. Any and all help will as usual be greatly appreciated.
