I think this is a good thing...

OK, so Tiki has started to to this head bobbing thing when I come back after being gone for a while. I am thinking that it is a good thing, like excitement to see someone he likes and is bonding with (we've officially had him for a week now), and not a baby "I'm hungry, feed me" thing. He doesn't make any noise when he does it.

That's a good thing, right?

Yeah, that's a good thing ... LOL ... especially if he brings up something from his crop and offers you a treat. My bird has offered me his treats.

Ughhh, that's what I'm afraid of...bird puke! LOL!

I thought that's what it was, as when he does it, his beak is pointed down, not upwards like he's looking for food.

Thanks for the reply!

I think I just read that Tiki is a very young bird, if I am correct, he may very well be begging, my hand fed baby mac did that for a while after he had weaned. If I am incorrect in saying that he is young, then I would retract that first statement and agree with Gucci!

You are correct, Tiki is young. I didn't know if it was begging or something else. I thought if it was begging, he would make little whiny noises, and his head/beak would be pointed up. When he does this, he is silent, and his head/beak is pointed down, towards his chest. Should I worry?
