Romeo Ate His Veggies!

Well, He finally did it, he ate veggies for me. He just turned 5 months old & is still on one feeding a day but I have only been able to get him to eat his bird food but not fresh veggies & fruits. But that doesn't stop me from trying everyday. He would taste them but not really eat them. I gave him some veggies (broc, calf, corn, lima bean, carrots, etc) & he wolfed them down. I was so happy I called everyone. My sister said "veggie, eeewww, hubby told me I was nuts & my grandma said "oh he's such a good boy, he ate his veggies". I'm so proud of my baby boy. Crystal

Good job, Romeo! Ceilidh says to tell you that veggies taste MUCH better than nuts and seed, but they'll do in a pinch :-).

Romeo eats a fruit & veggie mix plus other things that he only tastes. Can I borrow Ceilidh? Maybe he could convince Romeo to eat more. I cleaned, cut up, cooked, peeled, & mashed the sweet potatos I bought the other day, & even added some rasins to them. But did Romeo like them, NO!!!!!!!!! Bonita liked them cause she saw me putting the Rasins in. Thats her favorite treat. Crystal

Ceilidh prefers his food raw, uncooked. Broccoli and cauliflower seem to be his favorites. He'll eat apples with relish, too, but he spits out grapes like they're poison! LOL! He gets a huge variety of fruits and veggies daily, with the occasional cooked meal thrown in plus a nut mix, but those fresh veggies are his fav, by far.

I tried the uncooked but they didn't seem to like them as much. They like apples, pears, grapes, etc. I did get a polmagranit (spelled wrong) They didn't like it. Romeo slung it across the room. Crystal
