Macaw making strange sound

My B&G macaw Harley has been making a strange sound since we got her. I have never gotten much of an answer for it either. Every day, usually in the mornings and at night, she goes: "raaaa raaaa" over and over. Is there a reason? Can it be fixed?
I have a sleeper cage for her and she gets 10-12 hours of sleep. She is fed a healthy diet of seed, nuts, fresh fruits and veggies. Help

My harlequin macaw does this also. He makes this sound a lot more when Im in the room with him. He makes a wing movement sometimes with the sound.
I have never recieved an answer from anyone.

Is this a baby bird newly weaned? If so, its begging for a handfeeding. How old is the bird and how long have you had it?

He is a baby. He was 3 or 4 months when I brought him home. I picked him up from the breeder in October.

If it's loud.... it's probably a flock call... Do you answer and does it stop after you do? Otherwise it could very well be a "feed me Seymour!.... I'm ready, where have you been? "

sounds like a typical baby behavior, my did that too
I continued with warm soaked biskets mixed with his veggies and even some spoon fed and held him. He grew out of it and is a happy healthy well adjusted bird. but sometimes I do miss those baby days when all he wanted was a full crop and a reassuring cuddle....

My Blue & Gold Sammy does that as well, he is only 1 1/2 year old. It is definately a baby thing. Sammy does it when he is tired. I am sure we will miss it when they stop doing those baby things.
