Exclamation stuffy nose and runny nose

I have a question about my B&G having a stuffy and runny nose. He will be fine for a couple days then he will get stuffy again. I would take him to the vet right away but its like 2 degrees out, and I dont want to risk him getting more sick. Im alittle unsure as to what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I really don't know what to do. But just wanted to say I hope your B&G gets better! :)

You ought to try and get some antiobiotics from an avian vet.... warm up the car, put him in a carrier, cover the carrier up, and take him out... then take him to the vet.

In the meantime, you can increase the heat/humidity in your house, and take him into the bathroom every time you take a shower... this will help with his sinus's.

First things first.... get him to the vet, second is humitity levels.
Next.... Other birds around? Cockatiels, Cockatoos, African Grays... These are just 3 of the dust producing birds kept in the home. Macaws can be sensative to the dust produced by other birds, B&G's are more prone and other variaties. If he is housed with dusties, is there an air purifier in the room... and is it large enough?
If it comes down to he's not sick, and it's not other dusties, and not humidity levels, then it could be allergies. New food? moulds? A furnace and vents that haven't been cleaned in a while?
The vet would be more able to offer suggestions that will help.
Good luck!

Your bird most likely has an upper respiratory infection. These infections can kill your bird. No matter the temperature outside, warm up your car and vet the bird immediatley.
