Talking She's Here Finally!!

Ok after more than a month of waiting Salsa is finally home. I regret to say that I can't post pics until tomorrow morning but she is finally home and I am so excited!! We got home a little later than we wanted so she was pretty much ready for bed and that is where she is at this point in time. I did have to laugh though because my husband is not a bird person and just after we got home Salsa was on her t-stand. I had to leave the room to go put water in her cage and as soon as I left the room she let out a nice loud squawk and my husband instantly got this look like he had just heard amplified fingers on a chalk board. As soon as I came back in the room she quieted down and started making a cooing sound but lets just say that she did not make any brownie points with my husband.

So the long and the short of it is that she is home and doing well so far. She gets to meet the dogs in the morning when she comes down for breakfast at which point I will also get plenty of pictures and post them right away.

Happy dance is an understatement!! I am coming down with the crud and have a fever and my skin hurts and all of that crap but somehow it isn't bothering me as much as it usually would just because I'm doing such a happy dance!! I keep going up and just peeking into the bird room to see her. There is just enough moon light in the window that I can make out her shadow and it thrills me just to see her perched up there on her swing with one foot up and her feathers kind of ruffled up. This has been a life long dream to have a macaw and now I just can't believe that she is actually here!! She is definitely my sunshine!!

Courtzrocks - I'm glad that you finally have a definite pick up date!! I know your pain!! Granted I didn't have to wait as long as you did, but I know how you feel none the less.

Everyone, don't worry... I have the camera ready for pictures first thing!! I will take and post plenty!!
