Family Bird

I am very interested in getting a Macaw and was just wondering if any of them are really gentle. I have a 2 year old and would be concerned if the bird became *nasty*

I know that all birds can be nippers when they want what they want, but I am looking for one that may be of a gentler spirit.

Suggestions of other birds other than Macaws that might be a great family pet would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have 3 keets, 1 Tiel with the adoption of another 1year old tiel pending.

Hi - I would love to respond to your post.... would you mind also placing it in the regular ol' macaw section too? So us laypeople can answer? This is the experts section; I'm not sure if it is manned.
