Hello,
My wife and I have talked about a second bird now for two years. We had are sights set on a TAG, but between my wife’s periodic bouts of asthma like allergies, and the concern of our avian vet for the dander and our Hahn’s macaw, we are sadly looking away from a TAG. However, upon meeting a youg gal, we have started looking into the Eclectus parrots. Would the Eclectus (a female. 5 months old) be a bad bird to have around our Hahns (female, 8 years old)? From everything we have read, the Eclectus sounds like an incredibly smart bird, and the young gal we met was nice and friendly (ok, she jumped up and gave me a kiss…). Thoughts? |
