Illigers Macaw
I adopted an Illigers macaw today. I was wondering if anyone out there had any information and guidance. He is about 2 years old. The family that had him no longer wanted to deal with the mess. They wanted to give him to a good home to people that have experience with birds. My husband knew the "dad". He had been to our house and saw our birds and their birdroom.
We have a Moluccan Cockatoo, Nanday Conure, Green Nape Lorikeet and 3 Cockatiels. This is my first experience with a macaw. He bites a little but for the most part he appears to be a friendly bird. Not sure yet if he is male or female.
