Malachi and his new play gym

Hi everyone!

Well we are home from our week trip and I am pleased to say that so far Willow and Malachi do not seem to be mad at us. We missed them so much while we were gone.

also I wanted to share photos with you of the play gym my DH made for the birds just before we left. I'm sure any future one will be better than this but I really like it and so does Malachi. Willow doesn't seem to care about it but maybe in time.

We went to the bird store in the town we were in but it was awful and they didn't have any good toys. I am going to have to go shopping now in town and buy a few more toys for the gym.

We used Vet Wrap. I've read about it on the How-to board. We bought it from a local Co-Op store. I love the bright colors.

Thank you everyone! We actually had Willow on a lower level and Malachi on the top perch and they were both playing with the long rope toy. Or was Malachi trying to swing it enough to knock Willow off her level?

And a few of the rolls did have designs on them. Maybe that is the color variation you saw.

What did you use as a base? Or did you make that yourself as well? Everytime I make a toy for Peanut I'm praising vet wrap!

Talking

I really like the design, what size of Pvc did yoou use? 1 1/4" or 1 1/2"? I imagine I can mix it up some, seeing as I am a Pipefitter/plumber that playstand is right in my talent range!

Dont feel bad if I out do yours a tad, I like to make them large, besides I am going to have the room to put it when I am done. You DID an awsome job and I like the usage of the different colors, Don't the birds try and chew the wrap off?.......LMB
