Hehe..maybe just a tad spoiled, loved...oh yes! We recently moved into our first home, and Sheba had some issues with all the changes. She used to reside in my office, but now we have 4 bedrooms so she has her own room. For her, that was a negative...as she loved to chatter & talk to me all day in our apt. It did become a problem at times though..when I needed to be on the phone or concentrate. So..the way it is now, I was seeing some negative results in her. She was'nt playing, and began to pluck her leg feathers. Well you might be lonely too..right? So..my focus now is to get her out as much as possible to spend time with me. I have only one playstand for her, which we keep in the living room so she can be with us in the evenings. It is a pain to drag back & forth, so sometimes I don't. Feeling guilty and knowing this just is'nt healthy for her...my new plan is to get another stand. For now, I just have to take the other back & forth. I also want to get her a nice double macaw cage so she has more room. I hate her present cage..to me it's way too small for a macaw. She is a great bird, and I want only the best for her. Thanks for your replies!

The cage she has now is a good size for a macaw, but I'm sure she'll just love a double macaw cage! Saw two up close and personal, and although the one with the rounded edges look nice, the absolutely square double cage seems to be more roomier.

It's great though to hear that you are trying to figure out how to please her so she doesn't pluck! And also keeping her busy!

Oh yeah...a friend gave me a tip she uses for her Too that plucks. Rolled up magazines with the ends tattered stuffed through the bars of the cage...it's working! That rectangular cage # 8040 is the one I want. I found it for a good price with free shipping, $615.00..and a free toy!!

Believe ya had asked Joel before? But decided to go with the shipped cage instead?

You can also try old phonebooks, too! Either try and put the edges through the cage bars, or drill a hole in the center and bolt it to the side or top of the cage!

Yes..Joel & I discussed it, but I have a car not a truck, and with the price of gas to Miami..it's worth the extra $90.00 to have it dropped at my door.
Thanks for the tip!

Ah, alright! Too bad, but still you've found an otherwise good deal elsewhere!

I have a similar cage for Harley. I thik it's a little wider and deeper though and she loves it! She's out most of the day, but ther cage is filled with toys and she love her cage. I really like how you have it set up. I gave up the pine perches are well because they only lasted her a couple weeks. But I really like the perches you have. What are they?
