LOL Geekasaurus! Patagonians have already been labeled as 'mini-macaws' However, they were then relabeled as conures.

See this post! Golden Macaw - a new macaw species!!!!!!

IMO, the goldens and patagonians should remain labeled as conures... but then it doesn't necessarily matter either.

I have a friend who has a pair of those. She says that they are very loving. They are indeed very special and gorgeous.

If we are going by confirmation and eye-patch... I think the BCC is a mini-macaw then!


And I still think that if you gene spliced a macaw and an amazon you would get a Mitred!

I have heard only one way to determine if they are conures, keets, tiels, or parrots: Skin around the eye? Y? Parrot. No skin: not a parrot. The rest are related. This could be a tale, but it was Martha's bird; animal expert on Martha Stewart's show.
