Are they open yet? I sure hope so!

If your answer as a do-it-yourself-er had anything to do with vice-grips, please DO NOT share this information with the group!

Sorry to say the baby ended up passing away. The breeder was not a good breeder and because of that a lot of people and the whole clutch suffered from his inexperience.

I am sorry to hear that. Did his eyes ever open?

I was sure a little humor would be Ok this time, but I see it was not. Sorry.

How did you hapen to obtain closed eyes small birds? As I recall, whgen I brought home my three week old scarlet 15 years ago the eyes were open. As I remember.

Saying what I did, I would never( never say never) do that again.

Yes, your right! I should have taken the baby to the vet but the breeder assured me that he had a clean bill of health. Like I said NOT a good breeder at all. He did however replace the baby with another one who is doing great but that still doesnt excuse the behavior. The breeder would not keep the healthy one any longer than 4 weeks so we got it and took it to a rescue group about 20 mins from where we live and the baby is doing awesome!! He/she is about 6 weeks old and is Huge! If you want to read more about this horrible experience, look on this macaws page but find "Can you believe this" read it and it will tell you everything about it. Thanks to everyone for their concern.
