Well, since there is no male they will not be fertile, so just let her sit on them, she will tire of them then you can take them. If you take them away too soon , she will just lay more. You can also replace them with fake eggs found online.

This is the time of year for eggs, our B&G, GypsyRose laid 2 about a week ago as well!

Not all females do, but it doesn't mean anything is wrong. I have a female who has never laid, and my mother has 2.

I don't know what the difference is between females who lay and those who don't (my mother has 1 who lays, as well, same diet, out-of-cage time, etc as the other 2) but it's nothing to worry about.

Just watch to make sure you aren't doing the things that trigger laying. If you have any dark places or boxes in her cage or around it that she can get into, that will encourage egg laying. If they lay TOO much, they can cause severe health problems. But a normal infertile clutch will give you no issues.

Uughh. Our GW is a female. We had originally wanted a male, but well you know how it goes. You pick on personality, and then also they just seem to pick you. So, there was no way we were walking away without our little GW giorl that fateful day.

I am really kinda worried about the egg laying thing, because of the story of poor Harley, and also long, long ago I lost a parakeet that was egg bound. I guess I was kinda hoping that maybe Boudica just would not be an egg layer. But, I have to defer to your 28 years of Macaw experience.

Yes, when I lost that parakeet, it was years ago, before the availability of the internet. I fed those poor 'keets only parakeet bird seed bought from the grocery store! I am mortified! By the luck of God, one lived 10 years the other 12 years. I feel so bad now, but back then, I didn't know what I didn't know. My Conure, Amazon, and now Macaws all benefited, or will benefit by, the ready access to information we have today.
