Severe Macaw and Orange Wing Amazon Combination?

Hi Macaw Folks!
I am looking for some advice! I usually post in the Amazon category as I have a three year old male OWA who is the absolute love of my life and only bird, however, I am considering rehoming a 3 year old female Severe Macaw. She has only had one owner and the lady is really nice and would like to find her a good home due to illness with her husband. My question is, does anyone here have both macaws and amazons, and more specifically the Severe/Orange Wing combination? Any information would be very helpful as I really want to make the right decision for both my bird and myself, as well as this lady's precious Severe macaw. They would be housed together in the same room (after quarantine of course) but housed in entirely separate cages with time out of the cage separately for play on the hanging gym and playstand. Please let me know what you think - I am really seeking some advice about macaws, specifically the Severe as I have only had my OWA and really need some good advice! Thanks in advance!

I am also in love with my OWA:). They are just great birds, aren't they? I also have a very sweet, precocious young Blue and Gold, and he is absolutely crazy about my OWA, wants to kiss her all the time, is always calling her. But she HATES him, lol. My OWA is pretty territorial, she loves her mama and won't share, i think if your OWA is bonded to you as he seems to be, he won't be too crazy about the thought of sharing you. They can be a bit possessive of the ones they love. My OW gave me the silent treatment for a week after the B&G came home! But of course, if you have the time and patience, you can manage pretty well with separate out of cage play time. My birds have learnt to 'tolerate' each other's presence, but i would never let them play in contact with each other. I think you can work it out, if it feels right. I've never had a Severe though, so that's probably something that another Severe owner can help you with.
Good luck!
