Hanging gym question

I have been looking for a commercial hanging gym for my B&G, one that he can get plenty of exercise. This is a bird when he can get to the floor he goes on a seek and destroy mission. I am open to suggestion from people that have made their own.

Wayne's Parrot stuff makes hanging gyms just as great as his floor models for all sized birds. Website: www.waynesparrotstuff.com

Mother Pluckin Bird Toys makes the ATOM which is a cotton swing/gym that birds love. Website: www.motherpluckinbirdtoys.com

Exotic Wood Dreams makes nice hanging gyms they call "flyers" and other hanging gyms that are made of grape vine or ribbon wood. Website: www.exoticwooddreams.com

Well just last nite I built this. I have it where I can modify it if I wish. Something for him to play on an when we are in the kitchen so He want fly off his cage playground to the kitchen. Its not nothing spectacular but he likes it.

I found one on Ebay called a "hang ten" gym. It comes in regular or XL size. The proceeds benefit parrot rescue. Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I'll let you know what I think of it when it gets here. I know it looks like fun, and wasn't very expensive, as playgyms go.

Thanks everyone got some ideas now i think i'm on a materials hunt. Charlie my B&G is a rehomed i have only had him for two months he is not a well mannered bird. He has toys in his cage which he chooses not to chew on, he never had toys for the 25 yrs with his last owner. When i take him out he will get on the floor and chew on everything in his path. He doesn't know how to fly this is why i'm thinking a hanging gym would be best for him.

Good for you to take on this older bird. There are so many that need homes. I have an "Atom" from Mother Pluckin' Bird Toys as well as a hanging playstructure called the "Kitchen Sink" 9not sure of the company name but I can find out if you like). The Atom is made out of steel rings covered in cotton rope and the "Kitchen Sink" is made with PVC pipes and marbella beads as well as some stainless stell parts. It has bits that spin and Razz, my Blue and Gold absolutely loves both of them. I highly recommend both. I would also suggest you hang something from the ceiling to protect it. You can buy ceiling protectors made of PVC or acrylic that birds cannot climb. I have, in my bird room, an acrylic sheet hanging from the ceiling by hooks which has eyehooks to hang different playstructures from. I alternate hanging the "Atom" and "Kitchen Sink" there with Razz's boingg (rope covered metal spiral) as well as some acrylic interlocking rings. I like being able to change it up. I also like the fact that it is hanging as it makes cleanup underneath relatively easy. I just keep several old sheets and duvet covers handy and put them under for "birdy fallout", when they are dirty I just throw them in the wash, it's easier than to mop the floor every day.
