redish pinkish poop in gw macaw?

sundance pooped when i was holding him on my table and it looked weird so i wiped it up, and it looked like pinkish reddish gooey stuff. how do i know if this is blood? now i did give the birds clored pellets, i have never seen this color before from these pellots. (pretty bird) they have also been eating lafaber nutriberries and avi cakes, granola bars, i gave them some of my smart choice queseda that had red peppers in it? im really freaking out. im watching him the rest of the day. i do notice some spots of light brownish reddish but nothing like that red pink stuff. help!

It is the red from the pretty bird pellets mixing in with the normal poo and other colors - Take out the red and watch it dissapear. Watch for red pellets in the nutriberries depending obn the flavor your feeding too. If you take those out and see the difference after a day then you are OK. LOL, colored pellets always mess with new mommies

you know whats so crazy about that though, i have had him and skye for 3 and 4 years, and fed them that all the time and yesterday was the first time it happened. i think it might have been an omen though, i panicked and took him to the vet, i finally found one closer then an hour and a half from me. TG! the even even thought it was blood until she examined it under the scope, (fecal smear or something). she also noticed his beak inside was red, so it was somethign he ate lol! no rb cells in slide.

HOWERVER, she did find some excess yeast, a little above normal so she did a gram stain, im waiting for results. she said he is a little bit underweight, not much, and seems to be a smaller gw then most. his body mass is healthy and fine though. so we shall see what happens with the results.

info on yest in macaws poop, slightly above normal

so i took sundance to the vet, didnt have blood in his poop, they did find a little bit above normal yest though. so they did a gram stain, im waiting for the results. gotta call friday. she also said he is a little bit underweight, but has normal body mass. he is a smaller gw then most. probably because when he was in the petstore he shared a small cage with an obnoxious harlequin or catalina. (i actually met the person who adopted his cagemate from the humane society when all of the animals in that pet store got condemened and the bird is nuts, poor thing)

anyway just wanting some info on yeast. ty!
