Miligold Macaw

Hi everyone... Can anybody offer me any good information / advice on Miligolds? I will be rehoming a 20 month old this weekend. I am interested in knowing anything about their personalities, common problems health or behavioral, any information will greatly be appreciated. I do have other Macaws, just no Hybrids. I have heard good and bad about Hybrids... just looking for some feedback from those of you who may have a Miligold. Thanks-Kelly Isnt he BEAUTIFUL?!

Hybrid personalities depend on which parent they take after, usually. They can get the good and bad from both parents, so the only way to be prepared is to get as much information (pros &n cons) from both Blue and Golds and militaries.

Then again, he could be the exception and act like neither parent. But hybrids don't really have a mold to fit in. Most miligolds I've met take after the military parent, but I've met two that took after the more goofy, cuddly, B&G parent

Im crossing my fingers for the B&G. Hes very sweet with the man who has decided to give him up. He tolerated me on the floor with him for about a half an hour during my first / last visit. He showed alot of interest from a distance until I offered him a treat... then he was more than willing to come forward. No warning shots, no lunging... came and took the treat from me very gently and backed up. Im confident well be fine... just looking for some tips and suggestions on what I might be in for. Im very excited.
