Here we go... I think I got it now. Whallah... new pictures of Captain. This Saturday it will be three weeks since we brought the GIANT "HAM" home. He is a wonderful bird... cant imagine why anyone would want to give up such a sweet critter such as this guy. I just cant wait for the quarentine phase to be over so he can hang out with the rest of my flock. The last vet appointment is on the 30th of this month. Hes got a great personality, a large vocabulary, a hill billy laugh and an awesome disposition. Hybrid haters say what you want but this bird is a real "Gem." We are very happy we took him in and to those sweet people who couldnt care for him anymore, "THANK-YOU", we absolutely love him.

So happy for the positive feedback. Thanks to everyone! I have received alot of flack here for having one. They are beautiul animals, and hes just as sweet as my other "purebred" macaws. What people dont understand that its not cross-breeding or in-breeding, they are part of the same family. It happens in the wild. If it wasnt supposed to happen nature wouldnt allow it. Well, thanks to all of those have left me nice feedback... it really means alot to me. I just adopted a bird that needed a good home.

Captain Morgan is beautiful!!! I love how each hybrid is different, and someday I would just love to have a catalina.
You bring up a good point. Macaws are all of the same family, so it shouldn't be called "inbreding" or "cross breeding"

Congratulations and Good Luck! There are some Milligolds at a local bird store. At least I believe they are. Funny how they are bigger than B&G's. They look like they've been to the gym....bulky I mean. They are a combination of Military and B&G right?

To be fair, I don't think anyone here is a "Hybrid Hater." I've never seen anyone aim their anger at the birds themselves or say they shouldn't be loved. I think anti-hybrid people disapprove of the reason for creating Hybrids and the impact of it. Too bad it's brought up each time a hybrid is acquired by someone. It seems like people are doing damage control before the debate even begins.
