I'm not saying you couldn't get a hyacinth for $450 (I've only had to rehome one pet before, and he was a $2K show golden retriever champion and I gave him free to a wonderful home. His owners still contact me on his birthday and at holidays and such to let me know he's doing great, and I go to visit once or twice a year (yeah, he's still mine, even if he isn't anymore). If I had a hyacinth and I could NOT take care of him anymore, I'd place him/her for free and take the loss. . . but I would NEVER advertise it. I'd make sure one of my bird-loving friends got him.

Or I'd ship him to Irish if she'd take him :)
