Hannah Is Home!!!!!! Finally!!!!

Yep My new baby is here!!!!! I am so excited!!!!
She sat on the head rest of my Avalanche on the way home and chewed my rear grab handle on my door, but I didn't care, that comes with having fids.

Right now she is settling in and is eating everything in sight, I think that the guy that had her was only feeding her a seed diet because he mostly had small birds up to conures, and I doubt that he was gonna spring the extra dough to by her proper food.

I still am pinching myself everytime I look at her, I mean I have never had a bird larger then a conure(well the CAG is my wifes) I hope that I can meet the challenge of having a Macaw.

Already she is warming up to me more than she did over the last two months while I was visiting her( I think it is because she is away from the only guy she ever knew) actually she is letting me pet her, that of which she never let me do while she was around the other caregiver, but I knew down inside that she had it in her.

What is weird is I am more afraid my Wifes CAGs beak than Hannahs' I don't even think of her beak when I handle her, although she needs a bit of work on the step ups but she has the general idea.

Tommorow I will get a few pictures and post them cause right now she is snoozing(she had a big day today)............LMB

Ya I am just loving having her around, every day I look forward to getting home and being with her, she is not cuddly cuddly just yet, in fact she is still in the explore mode and just has to check out everything around me and my family. She will start rubbing the top of her head with her foot and when I go and scritch the same spot she lets me and moves her foot to a new location where she wants scritched, it is just such a cute game.

SHE HAS NOT BITTEN ME OR EVEN THREATENED TO BITE ME YET! I JUST LOVE IT!

Today she is a little grouchy, I think that it is because she is eating so many new foods that she has never got a chance to try, and her system is getting used to the new foods, in fact there is barely anything that we give her that she doesn't like (loves banana chips though)

I have got to understand also that she is so very young and needs to discover her new world around her..........LMB
