You've done a lot of good work with them. They are lucky to have found you.

Thanks

I worry about them at times, because every now and again they can bicker quite viciously. Thankfully it's not very often and I'm assuming they're just doing the sames things as my budgies do but on a larger scale.

I have their cage right next to me and the pc, and they LOVE to watch youtube videos of other birds LOL

Talking

Just be patient, they will come around. My Dewey was rescued... he didnt even know how to step up or what it meant to perch on a finger. We got him in January of this year. Just be patient... dont make them do anything they dont want to... if you ask and they lunge or run, walk away and try again a couple of minutes later. They will come around. Dewey will step up but basically we let him come out on his own. His cage is right next to the loveseat so he climbs down his cage and comes running and climbs up to my shoulder where he likes to sit for hours while I read, watch t.v. etc. When hes done he goes back and gets into his cage by himself. He does allow me to pick him up and occasionally I can touch him. I hold him to help preen his head cause hes gots lots of pin feathers. Hes starting to figure out that it feels good. Now he comes over climbs in my hand and puffs up so I know its ok to give scritches. They are very smart and mine has one heck of a vocabulary. Like you I wouldnt trade him for the world. They have the cutest voices. I call Dewey my little "Bully" cause he growls at me alot. Yours look very young, so you have a good chance to tame them. Like you I have no idea how old Dewey is, they tried to tell me he was hatched in July 2007, I dont think so as his eyes have already turned bronze, his head was full-blue and the red on the outer edges of his wings was thick and dominant. There was no way he was six months old when I took him in.

They are very good looking birds. I am sure they have the best home. What a good person you are to take in birds in need, not all people are as good as you to commit to taking care of them. You are doing very good work with them, keep it up. Even if Clyde is not nice atleast you have one nice one and two pretty birds to look at. Good luck.

Thanks for all the encouragement :)

Clyde is slowly coming around, most days he'll let me give him treats through the cage bars, some days he just won't let my hand anywhere near the cage bars LOL

Still flies over to bite me though, the little beggar

Bonnie is still getting more and more confident over time, so that's a good thing.

We've started taking their whole cage out of the house with us n nice warm days, when we're going to be sitting in the back or front garden, and they both absolutely love that.

The bathing is coming on brilliantly. while we're outdoors I stand with the watering can, puring water above their bathing dish and they can't get enough of it hahahahaha

Thanks, they really are funny little characters. They now totally love their bathtime, and as soon as they get their bath dish in the cage they jump in, and one of them yells 'Water!!' Hahaha, haven't quite figured out which one that is yet though.

They're little swines too though, as soon as ANYBODY is making food in the kitchen they start yelling and shrieking LOL, they must have an amazing sense of smell

Hahaha, it's actually BOTH of them that say 'Water!', they said it at exactly the same time as each other yesterday

Didn't manage to get that on video, but did get one of them saying it
