FOOT FETISH?! (Video)

Ok . It's official! My bird is a goofball and has a foot fetish. The video is not good, but its the audio you want to hear anyway.

This is Newton. He is such a fruitloop! Elliot was staring at him like he was nuts! I swear if El could roll his eyes, he would LOL

He keeps me laughing. Thats for sure. Now if I can just get him to calm down on the puking thing. I know he loves me, but geez.

I swear its God's sense of humor, saying, 'Hmmm, I'll have a parrot show affection by throwing up on who they love"

Newton is 3 yrs old. He's my "gifted" little boy, hence the name Newton (after Sir Isaac Newton) . He's been talking since he was 8 weeks old, weaned himself at 3 mos old, and discovered he was a "boy" at 18 mos with his toys in his cage (if you catch my drift)

Every macaw is different.

Elliot, my 14 mo. old macaw talks very little. He says, hi, hello, love love, and now peek a boo. I don't know that he'll ever be the "talker" the Newt is. But it absolutely doesn't matter to me if he learns to talk like Newt.

They both have wonderful personalities. Newton is my brainiac and my clown. Elliot is my little lover/snuggle bug, and he's got this little fiesty side that just cracks me up (still waters run deep..LOL). And by golly he stands right up to Newton if he gives him any guff!

I understand what you mean about the puking, My Miltary loves to follow me around our patio and if I am wearing sandels he is all over my feet, tasting, trying to pull my shoes off and of course showing his love by puking on my toes. How many times of day can one person wash her feet(LOL) Anyone out their know how to deter this one without hurting his feeling I am all ears!

I've not found a way yet. I have to get pretty stern with him as you can hear. I swear the "child" has ADHD. And boy can he be stubborn - Of course, What do I expect? I have a macaw. LOL

My Military spends more time puking that anything else some days My vet told me that we needed to ignore him when he did it; walk away, turn around, etc. Which I'm sure we all know its hard to ignore something that is puking on you But he said that they have to lose the association of receiving attention with that behavior. I try my best and a lot of the 'puke dancing' he would do in his cage has stopped. But when he's on me, or the love of his life (my best friend, Chelsey) walks in, it's on There's absolutely no stopping him then!
