Hahn's Mini Macaw & Cockatiels
I have two cockatiels and am interested in learning more about the Hahn's Mini-Macaw. If anyone here has owned or owns Cockatiels & Hahn's Mini-Macaws, I would love to hear your experiences of their general compatibility. Also, how would you compare their overall volumes? Can the mini macaws get louder than tiels? Are the mini macaw beaks much stronger than tiels? Are their bites strong enough to cause bleeding? My tiels bite once in a while, but they have never been able to break the skin.
Thanks! |

I had two cockatiels in the past and now I have a Hahns Macaw. He was hand-raised, the cockatiels were not so he is much tamer than they were. He can be loud but rarely is. The same was true for my cockatiels. It's been a while since I owned the tiels so I can't say if the Macaw is that much louder. Davey does have a strong little beak. He has never bitten me where he has drawn blood but he can be nippy. He doesn't bite hard but he pinches a little. It doesn't hurt me but I'd like him to stop it. He is a great little guy. I love him like crazy. I compare him to a little dog, like a terrier, who has no idea he is little.
