Anyone with a Miligold! can you help?

Ok So I have been getting ready for my miligold that is comming. I set up a big section of my room that is far away from my grand parent's cockatiel and it has room for the cage that I am buying (72'' height, by 64'' length, by 32'' depth). So now I need help. I was originally going to buy a B&G from my breeder but the eggs were infertile, thats when I was offered the miligold. But I spet forever researching B&Gs so what are the differences and similarities? (besides appearence).

I don't really know the differences.... if you had your heart set on a B&G, why are you going for a miligold? Just wondering

You know you are kinda right. I think I might change my mind. I will just tell my breeder to tell me next time he gets B&G eggs and I will look around for other breeders. (I will fill you in later)

I have a Miligold and hes a wonderful bird. He is very smart and friendly. He has a huge vocabulary, he likes to roll over on his back while playing with my husband on the floor. Did I mention how beautiful he is? He will be two in August and I rescued/re-homed him two months ago. He has more of the Blue & Gold personality. He is bigger than both of his parents. I believe I posted three pics of him in a thread you started earlier in reference to cage size. Aside from the size and the color personality wise I dont think there is a whole lot of difference.

I have a Military and a Blue and Gold. My Military is spunky and playful and MY Blue and Gold is timid and cuddly. I think a combination of the two would be great. I would be interested in the name of the breeder if you don't mind. I can tell you a Military is not the easiest for a first macaw but if combined with the traits of a Blue and gold could make for a great bird. All I know is no matter how much attitude my Military has or who hes tries to imtimidate everyone is drawn to him, even people who dislike birds(I know how dare they) but he wins them over and everyone wants to see ehat he will do next.

I think the Miligold would be a great pick, but do read up on Military personality, because they can be difficult at times but its well worth it. I think they are misunderstood and unfortunelty I have seen several Militarys on resuce websites lately.
