skye and sundance updates

well i have been giving sundance his meds, oh my god that has not been fun. its almost 2 weeks tommorow will be. my friend stopped over and who i hadnt seen since right before i got sunnys meds, he noticed the difference in how much more alert he looks, and he looks bigger he said. then i started paying more attention, my instincts told me he is better, though i am still giving him the meds until tommorow second dose. but thegood news his, he is so much more alert with the way he is paying attention to me, and you can see like, his eyes are lit up more or something. and he is bigger then skye now which he should be he is a gw she is a bg. his chest muscle looks built up or like he looks stocky now. you can so see the differnece now between them. i am so happy.

i have weighed him, and before the infection was diagnosed he had got down to 2lbs. i think thats like 907grams. so he was just at the low end of what a macaw should weigh. now he is at 2.8lbs or 1270 grams! YEAHHH! and i weighed skye bg, for the last year she has been healthy, though i remember when she was just a mere 800grams and i was so scared, she is 2.6lbs, or 1179 grams. man im so relieved and sooooo happy! i will get sunny retested in the next week, and im going to get skye tested too just to make sure.

this has taught me even more to pay attention to EVERYTHING with macaws. i coulda so lost sunny so easily. but instincts told me something was wrong, and by picking him up i felt him lighter. at least i will get them gram stain tested once a year just a precaution. or if i notice anything strange they are going in. poor babies have had some issues and if i was a new macaw owner i dont know if i would have caught them. hopefully someone new will come across this message and pay close attention to what me and my babies have been through and learn.

IM SO RELIEVED RIGHT NOW OMG! BUT STILL GOTTA DO THE GRAM TESTS TO MAKE SURE.

and i do like cefadrops better then any other meds, sunny didnt spit it out much,i think he was just more scared of me holding him and giving him the meds. i know temp. i have made my baby hate me, and hate the towel, didnt really help with the trust issues, but least he is alive. and he is still loving at night towards me. though he does give me kisses alot and when i walk by the cage he will come up to me and want kisses. ok happy 4th everyone!!!
