Travel carriers advise

Hello everyone, My name is Joe and just purchased a 11 week old Green Winged macaw who is still with my breeder. My breeder believes that he should be weaned around Sept 13th or so. I will not pick him up nor will she sell him until he is weaned. My question is, what type or brand name travel carrier is best for both a baby and full grown GW Macaw. by the way, his name is Neleno. I went to VA to visit him for the first time 2 weeks ago and spent about 3-4 hours with him. It was a 4 hour trip but worth it. He warmed up to me in about 15 min or so and did nothing but kiss my hands, neck, and face. It was really something the Breeder said because she said that her other customers that would stop by for supplys or to pick up their new babies, he wanted nothing to do with them so it was like he wanted to be with me. I have many pictures that my breeder forward to me via email along with her message. the pictures were not jpgs so I don't know how to attach them to show everyone but take my word, he is beautiful. his feet are as big as my hands, so funny. i should name him bigfoot. I gues I got a little off track. so if you can advise on a travel carrier, It would be very helpful. Thanks Joe

you know what i use a re vamped toy dog carrier by that i mean a toy breed dog carrier they are like 20.00 at wal mart and you can adjust and put a perch in there across wise and it works real well since it has plenty of air hole and a swing open door . that is what i use when i travel with my pets as well . good luck .

Beware if doing so. If the carier has zinc in it your bird will get zinc poisoning and can die. So be carefull about home-made cages/cariers/any bird related objects.
