I know, right!!! She just can't say "no" can she? I know exactly how it is though, I would be the same way, but I've just run out of room ... for now

Hi. I just want to remind you all this is a trial period I'm not totally sure she will be staying with us... she needs some work, and she may be too much bird for me... I love her already, I don't believe the feeling is mutual.
When I am not in sight, she calls for me (love that!) However, if I get close enough to the cage she will slam her beak against the bars to try and bite me. I can feed her through the bars, though. The issue is how can I feel comfy taking a bird out of the cage that lunges at me when I walk by too close? The last two nights that I've taken her out, I couldn't get her back in... trust me, at midnight, my patience are thin! She wouldn't step up on my arm, a perch or anything... Her cage is large, so when I go to the front, she goes to the back, etc. I dunno, I just don't know. I realize it's only been a short time, and she needs time to adjust, but I am honestly a bit scared of her. I've never been scared of any of my other guys... not even Harley.

Any advise appreciated.

Good luck, Mabird. You may want to post your questions in the macaw area. Some of the people there may have some tricks they can share with you. I wish the best to you and Majestic whatever happens.
Rebecca

She's definitely one gorgeous bird. Just that tail in and of itself is beautiful! Good luck with the whole trial period and hopefully everything will go smoothly.
