All grown up....

At least he looks like it, with his new set of feathers all grown in. No more baby feathers, now :-). I think he looks magnificent, so I thought I'd share a few photos I took of him a couple of days ago.

I love the yellow scalloping around the edge of the orange feathers on his back:





And look at that tail, and Bowie's proud bearing:





No wonder Rowan claimed him as her own when she first laid eyes on him :-).

Z made the hoopball. I believe there may still be instructions for constructing it somewhere here on BB. "Macawlvr" invented that particular kind of hoopball, which costs approximately $50 for materials, and about 3 hours to construct (gets faster if you make more than one--practice makes perfect :-). Hopefully, you can search for "Hoopball" and find the thread with photos and instructions. We've modified the original instructions somewhat to suit our needs, but the basic hoopball is fantastic just as it is.
