Harrisons

Im thinking about getting Harrisons food for my B&G but I wanted to know how much to get. How fast will your macaw go through a 5lb bag?

Hard to tell... I leave pellets/seeds in birds cages all the time, just depends on if your birdie is a piggy

My bag lasts for my U2 and B&G about a month. My U2 doesn't eat as much as my macaw though. He loves pellets. More than veggies and fruit!

With pellets, it depends on how much they eat and how much they fling! I have 'tiels and a Goffin's on Zupreem, two different sizes...and I notice something irritating...when they bite one, it seems that they get a little chunk to eat and the rest of the pellet goes zinging across the cage (or the room)...seems like quite a bit of waste to me.

Just one of those things, I guess.

I'd say Newt and El go through about a bag a month. I use it as a supplement in with all their other goodies. I think it really makes a difference in their feather and skin condition.
