Bad Breath?

Now I am pretty sure it is not normal and it probably means there is problem which is never good. But I have noticed lately that my little Hahns breath smells like he has just eaten a whole container of freeze dried brine shrimp! He has shrimp breath. Has anyone else experienced this. Either than that he is fine, playing, eating, talking, humming he has taken his bath today. He is now on his nightly play date with his g-friend our blue crowned conure. Any ideas or suggestions as I came here first and have not googled it yet.

Bad breath is not normal! If it were my bird I would add 10 drops of Bragg brand apple cider vinegar to his water and see if it goes away in a day, if not off to the avian vet. Keep your eye on him to make sure he is eating and drinking and not losing weight.

Thanks for your response. 10 drops to how much water? What will the vinegar do? Either than his breath being bad, he is acting completely fine. I am going to call my vets office today.

A call to the vet is always best. 10 drops per large crock. Apple cider vinegar is acidic and helps to neutralize the pH in the crop and stomach.
