Thanks, I know it's hard to tell just how big he is, I have him the largiest King cage that they make. He is really warming up to me after a ffew bites. lol, But doing much better after he got that out of his system. Thanks to all and I will continue to post more pictures of him. Joe

I'm with Sr. Blue on this one (well others too). When I think of getting a big bird or a third bird, the Green Wing is always my first choice. Every now and then I will see another bird that I think I would consider too but the Green Wing is the big bird I measure all others against. I think they are beautiful. Thanks for the updated pictures. He is a very good looking little (big) guy.

Hello Everyone, Thank you for the kind words and glad that everyone is enjoying Neleno's pictures. He is very sweet now and lets me do anything I want to him.
We just got back from the Vet today. I received good news and bad news. The Godd news is, he looks and acts wonderful per the vet advised. but after they took the blood tests, his white blood count was 2400 instead of 1500. So my Vet asked to put him under so they could take a x-ray. I agreed, he was only out 7 minutes. after the x-ray all his major organs looked great. My Vet gave me antibiotics that I give him two times daily and pure apple cider mixed with one pint of water. I gave him his meds as soon as I got home. He is eating well and playing as I am writing this message. I can only pray that the rests of his tests come back fine. i will continue to watch his weight over the next couple of days. I will keep everyone updated. Thanks again, Joe

Oh, I hope he's okay! Such a handsome man! I've heard in other animals that their white blood cell counts could go up due to excitement. Maybe it's the same in macaws?
