Captain took a good bath the other day, we got a couple of good pics. He will only take a bath when the vacumn cleaner is running. Thats it. Enjoy

my male zon will only talk when the vacum is on he thinks we cant hear him lol he does talk alot to the female when we are not home but as soon as we open the door he shuts up!!!! very cute pics!!!!!!!

Great pictures. Ok, I was laughing about the vacuum. Then I told my wife. She informed me that in Barron's "Eclectus parrots" book it says it can stimulate the eclectus to bathe. It's thought to mimic thunder and rainstorms.

All of my birds get excited when the vacumn is on and bathe... however the Captain will ONLY bathe when the vacumn is on. He gets all fluffed up and starts shaking then we know its time to get the spray bottle out.

I have heard that a lot about birds will only take a bath when the vacuum is running.

What a good bird. See, I wish mine would do that. You deal with different things I guess when you re-home. My Blue Crown and Yellow Collared Mac will use the Shower perch. Dewey the Hahns is small enough to take care of business in his waterbowl which is usually everyday. Now my Severe absolutely hates the water. We have to spray him down which I hate doing because it traumatizes the @$%* out of him, but once hes wet he is fine and will continue to bathe on his own.

Have you ever took him in the shower with you? Teal loves it when I go in with him. But it is hadr to take one with him because he is flapping his huge wings everywhere. I usually end up getting the crap flapped out of me. Now when he is in there alone he flaps all over also and my bathroom is usually drenched when he is done! Like I said he really gets into and loves his showers!
Deffinetly try taking him in with you and see how he does. Go in there with him and make a big deal that it is sooooo much fun. Do this a few times and see if he starts likeing it better!

Now my U2 hates the shower! So Mine aren't all that good! LOL
