Question From Parents to Brooder

When is a good time to take the babies from the parents to be hand fed in a brooder? Our babies were born 8/22 and so far the breeder has left the babies in with the parents. I am wondering when is a good time to take the little ones from the parents to be placed in a controlled Brooder to have the healthiest babies possible. Any advice would be great!

Most suggest about two weeks of age... however for the larger parrots I've heard 4-6 weeks of age is also fine.

To be honest though, the best chance of having the healthiest chicks is to leave them with the parents until weaned...

Totally agree. Even with the parents raising, you can interact, or even be part of feeding some, so that not only do you know how to do it, but if there comes a time that for whatever reason you have to give food or meds to the bird, it won't be a fight on either side, yours or the bird's, because it will have an idea of what's going on.
