Greenwing diet

Slowly, but surely I'm learning what Dino likes. His faves to date are corn on the cob, hazel nuts and I still don't know what they're called in English, but they're big white beans. My question is, What is a good diet for them? Can someone please give me a menu of what I should give dino all week? How often should I change his menu? Its all hit and miss at the moment, but I want to get him on a good healthy diet, but have no clue really what that should be.

Spain.. This should help you. Hopefully you can enlarge it enough to read it or better yet, print them. It's out of a book called - Macaws A complete Pet Owner's Manual. If you can get this it's a pretty good manual.

Thanks Kim, that's very useful :)

I do have one other question...Should I let Dino eat as much as he wants to? Do Macaws limit themselves to what they need, as most cats do, but dogs don't?

Some people do, some people don't. I keep food for them at all times - some people call it free feeding. I do this with all of my animals, including my dogs. The only animal I know of that you can't do that with is horses.
