My yellow collar knows how to flip the latch on her cage. We have to lock her in when we are not at home.
She doesn't tear up the house... just terrorizes the cat. Erma likes to be on the floor. We call her Birdzilla. She takes one BIG step with her left foot and screams. The only time she talks is when she is on the floor. Either than the Blue Crown and the Hahns escaping when I open their food dishes... no escape artists here. Guess I am lucky.

I don't know what I'd do if I had birds escaping! I had enough of a scare when Rico went out the breeder door! Luckily I was at home, and now they are all clipped shut! I haven't locked up Ziva's new cage...she doesn't seem interested in trying to get it open.

Yep! I have one of those and the little fart (Newton) taught my other one (Elliot) how to open his doors too! Ugh!
I have all of Newton's doors literally "bolted" shut except for his main door which is a "special macaw" lock that he has not figured out. I had to duct tape all of Elliot's doors (the kind that have the flap on the dish covers) shut. He cannot open his main door either, but Newt can!

I've been having trouble with Tiki escaping. He actually moves the bottom tray so he can slip under the sides. He flattens himself out like a snake. He also will jiggle the food dishes till he can loosen the bolts on the outside and work at it till he can push the feeder doors open. It's a big solid kings cage too! He is the same as your bird, only escapes when I'm in sight, thank goodness, usually when he's been put in there for a 5 minute time out for being attacky.

There are chains and padlocks on every door on my G2's cage...it took him only days to figure out every single latch. My Sun also learned how to open the breeder box doors so he's locked in too. :)
