She is wonderful. All of her tests at the vets office have come back good. We have had her panels done. Two more weeks until she meets the rest of the flock. Captain gets really excited when she hears Juno squawking as do the other birds. Theres a lot of loud calling going on around here. If I haven't said it before, quarantine sucks. But until her immune system is a little stronger, she has to stay put. She is back off of the formula. I had to put her back on for a couple of weeks, basically for comfort. She is gaining weight fine as I weigh her everyday. She eats fresh foods no problems, but picks at her pellets and such... lots of waste at the bottom of the cage. She has finally learned how to step up on arms and hands... no more sticks. Breeder had her stick trained due to the fact her husband is diabetic and for fear of the claws breaking the skin. Juno loves her toys, her playstand and anything she can wrap her beak around. She pinches, she can have attitude and yet when you pull her in close she just cuddles. She rubs her head under our chins and alongside our faces, kinda like a cat rubs up against your legs when its hungry. This bird is absolutely perfect. We love her. My husband has hi-jacked her from me. She is smitten with him. Not that I didn't expect it or anything. I will be honest, I have not taken a whole lot of pics, too busy being busy. I will get some better ones up soon I promise.

Oh and she is saying... "step up"... "whats up"... "come here"... "I love you" and she is almost perfect at "pooping on demand." She is a fast learner. A bit hard headed as I expected, shes just wonderful.

She is sooooooo beautiful! I love her face. I have this weird thing about macaw faces. I either love them or am completely turned off by them. It has something to do with the facial feathers. It does look like hubby stole her. Mine did the same with Gabe. Since he's a macaw, there's plenty of loving to go around. I know what you mean. I HATE quarantine. It's harder than it sounds.

I love your Gabe, he is just so beautiful. So unique in the coloring... he is one of my faves here. I always look for pics of him.

Thank You. Tom, it was the biggest leap of faith I have ever taken in my life. Sending that kind of money and not knowing what to expect... scary stuff. But what a wonderful breeder I had, she was great, I would honestly work with her again. There was not a pin feather or a stress bar on this baby when I got her. She was really just perfect. The stepping up thing turned out to not be such a big issue as I thought it would. She is so attention starved (truly I don't know how... she falls asleep in my husbands arms every night) she learned quite quickly.

She's lovely, I'm so glad she and your hubby get along so well, so many homes have problems with a non-bird spouse.
