Parrot Availability - UK

Ok, I have another question, particularly for those living in the UK! It's not macaw specific, but close enough!

Can anyone give me an accurate list of macaw species, as well as conure species that live in the United Kingdom? I'm *mostly* interested in the macaw species, but curious about the conures, too.

I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Monica, I asked Z, who was born and raised in the UK, where he lived for 29 years. He says he's never seen any macaw over there, either in homes or in pet stores. That said, he was never specifically looking for them, either. He grew up with a wild-caught BFA, and knew of a couple of other people who owned them, but he says that aside from budgies, 'zons and greys, you don't see a lot of other parrot species in the UK--at least, not up until 1999, which is when he moved here to the States.

I have a friend who's a British ex-pat; and her family used to pet-sit for someone with a B&G Macaw. This was when she was a kid, so...30 years ago. She said he was wealthy, but that's all I know- I'll ask her about it when I next see her. I think she said he was heir to some fortune, and was involved with the 'underground radio' (you know that movie coming out) about the pirate radio of rock and rock over there in the 60's and 70's. Ok, I have my homework project for the week!
