A Little Breakthrough - well at least for me... lol

So as you know I got my Sapphire (8yo GBM) the night before last (Wed) - That night i had her eating from my hand and the same yesterday. I ended up sitting or standing with her for well over 4 hours on and off yesterday talking to her (cage open) and i hand fed her a little in the morning and evening.
She didnt really move from this one perch though - i knew she was new and getting accustom to new place, me etc... Her cage is about 6'x5'x4' so she has all this room but wasnt moving.
This morning i changed her water and food out and left her cage open.
I went back into the room and she was on her one perch as usual.
I sat and started talking to her. After just a few minutes she came over to a her large swing and then to a toy near me. She went back to her seing and started rocking it back an d forth. I gave her tons of praise - she completely blushed and started going crazy on the swing and rocking and pulling on another toy as well. She started hopping all around her cage and hanging upside down.
She will come right up to me and next to the door but she hasnt come out of her cage yet. I am going to let her do this so she is very comfortable.
I am very happy that a little more than 36 hours after getting her she has dispalyed such playfulness with me (remind you this is after an 8 year solo relationship with her original owner).
I just wanted to share....

Aw.... thats WONDERFUL! I'm glad she is starting to come around. You are going to be so smitten when she lets you play with her. They are big clowns for sure. Congrats on the progress!
