- B&G Macaw named ~ Harley ~ He's my big bird and he actually owns me. He loves me and only me. He likes to snuggle and groom me daily. He will let certain people touch him every once in a great while..but not for long. He is definately a one person bird. He rules the roost and is the king of the flock.
B&G Macaw ~ Mr. Feathers ~ He's had an unbelievably sad life. He was severly abused for the past 12 years of his life. He has two incorrectly healed (previously broken) wings. He can not strecth his wings out. He was severely dehydrated when we got him and on a really low quality all seed diet....ggrrrr However, he is doing great now and has come a long long way. He's relearning how to handle new people and adjusting rapidly.
B&G Macaw ~ Big Petey ~ He's a six year old macaw. He's very large for being a b&g macaw. His previous owners were business owners that traveled alot. They just didn't have the time for Petey and realized how lonley he grew. He now enjoys his days playing with toys on top of his cage in the bird room. He loves to interact with other birds. He loves to give kisses and likes to snuggle. He says, hi, how are you and many other things. He's a wonderful bird and we are so delighted to have him join our flock!
CAG ~ Quicny ~ She's funny, corky and a delightful little companion. She always amazes us with the funny things she does and says. One of the things she says is, "I'm a spoooky bird"! She's also the only bird I know that is an expert at making bodily function sounds and then says, "excuse me" in a mans deep voice...lol
CAG ~ Emma ~ She's our newest additon to the sanctuary. Her owners traveled alot also and couldn't give Emma the care she needed. She is absolutely lovely and a great little bird.
Moluccan Cockatoo ~ Peaches ~ She is such a beautiful girl. Very vocal and very friendly. She is well known in Butte and attends many public functions!
Umbrella Cockatoo ~ Bubba~ he's our baby. He is loved and known by people all over. He's an amazing bird! Very friendly and always wanting to cuddle.
Goffin Cockatoo ~ Petey~ She's my little turd bird. Always on me and following me around where ever I go. She is the cutest little bird bobbing up and down making all kinds of chatter. I think she loves me to most out of all the birds (don't tell Harley). She is always with me or chattering at me to open her cage if its not open.
Bare-eyed Cockatoo ~ ZaZu~ She's corky and tons of fun. She likes to sit and chew freshly cut lilac branches. She likes to do flips on the floor and play.
Sun Conure ~ Lizzy~ She's the smallest addition to the clan. Her mommy had to give her up and is really missing her. She's cute and colorful. Sweet & charming! She's beautiful!
Cherry Headed Conure ~ Spud ~ He's one of our fiestiest ones of the bunch. Spud has come a long long way. He's still a bit on the aggressive side, but we can hold him and pet him now. Every now and again he likes to try to take a bite out of us to keep us on our toes. Overall, Spud has progressed so far and is getting better all the time.
All the birds enjoy fresh cooked food, pellets, fruits and veggies, along with special birdie breads made from tasty fruits and veggies. We also use Prime on our wet foods.
