    Your Fids
i am parent to two fids....my first is a sweet natured African Grey i lovingly named bliss, 6 years old. he loves to tell me " i love you" " come here and give me some lovin sweetheart" "sweet kisses" and other such loving sayings. he loves to say good morning when the sun comes up. he says good nite when he is tired and wishes to have his blanket put on top of his home in home. his adopted brother is a cockatoo named coco (at times psycoco when he starts acting rather bazzarr...in a fun way). coco, a 14 year old, is a rescued fid who came from an abusive owner who allowed him to exist in a filthy cage with little to no fresh water or adequate food stuffs. when firefighters found him he was self-plucked completely, from the neck down. he was rushed to a vet who gave him zero chance of making it through the night. the local bird rehabber decided to give him a chance and took him home with her to die in loving arms. the vet started an iv and sent him home with her to pass on peacefully. to everyones surprise he lived. today he calls me "mama". i feel blessed i was given the chance to adopt him and love him. he is crankie at times and hates children and most men. he loves to snuggle under my shirt, hide under blankets, and dance to slow beat music. he laughs when he is feeling happy, and cries when he feels sad....this is when he hides under my shirt and lays his head next to my heart and just makes cooing sounds. he loves to talk when the unfeathered family members are talking. he might be small for his age but what he lacks in stature he makes up in love. all in all he is a lover just like his brother.
one day, i hope to add just one more to our family. ... a hyacinth macaw. but this is a future adoption for now.
What other type of pets do you own?
    Birds, Dogs
