- My dream bird has been a B&G from as far back as I could remember....and now that dream has finally come true!!! Tiku is my first B&G and made the trip from his breeder to our home on 11/10/2008!
I also am owned by a darling little cockatiel, Jingles. He's a total blast, and will tell me "come here" when he wants attention, and then he'll tell me what a "pretty bird" he is! HA! not very modest. He can actually whistle "Dixie", "pop goes the weasle", and "Charge!" as well as wolf whistle. He loves scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pizza crust, and most of whatever is on my plate.
Recently I inherited my daughter's cockatiel, Smokey Joe, who isn't nearly as social but he's coming around. He's now learning to whistle "pop goes the weasle"...it's helarious to hear these two when they get on a roll!! LOL! - About Yourself
- I have loved animals for as long as I've been alive. I used to drive my mom crazy as a kid because I was always bringing strays home or finding snakes (and bringing them home) or rescuing some small fuzzy critter (and bringing IT home)....so it's only natural that I became a vet tech! ;)
I have shown, trained, and raised horses for over 23 years and am currently working on producing multi-talented, high quality American Quarter Horses. This year we had the first foal produced by our palomino stallion. She will be taken to her first show next spring, and will be offered for sale to a good show home next fall. - What other type of pets do you own?
