Macaws are:
Kianna brought to us as she had a broken leg that had not been set, and fell and broke blood feathers daily and the owners couldn't deal with it any longer.
Jo was sold to a couple and they were not told she hated kids (we knew the original owners) and she chased thier 3 year old.
Roarke was given up after 10 years after husband passed away, too much a reminder when she was starting a new life.
GypsyRose was given to a small rescue in GA when her owner passed, at that rescue she gave the lady stitches a couple of times, we were called, ironically she is my bird not hubby's LOL!
Pickle we got a call to come get her or she would be killed with the chickens.
Mambo was rescued by a lady who didn't know much about them only felt bad that he was shut up in a dark closet of a room for 3 years. She felt out of her league so contacted us.
Ginger, was in a small cage padlocked closed lost the keys in a laundry room.
Vester one owner 14 years passed away, then 9 homes in 8 months, then here for the last 5 years.
Sophie came from great people, the only real problem was that Sophie didn't like either of them at all.
Earl, owner claimed she could breathe (had had another for 20years that flew away), and could not touch him. He is a lover boy!
Galahad, was traded for a Milli macaw, but they were upset that he want to be with thier female BFA and screamed, so wanted to trade him for a cam corder, we did!
Loretta was in a cold garage where the husband painted daily, she was very ill for the first month here.
Sunshine, started out rough, had a great owner for 8 years, then family illness caused his life to change drastically!
Mango was a family friends bird, hates women, all women there, so now he is here and still hates me but loves hubby LOL! - About Yourself
