About Yourself
I clearly hate birds, as you can tell...
Well, I'm a Divorced mother of a lovely 13 year old daughter who has aspirations to be an avian vet. Lucky me! I've been into animals since I was a child, owning numerous dogs, cats, birds and horses - with the ocassional other type of animal thrown in. I was a 4-H/FFA kid and was lucky enough to have a local 'bird program' be a part of our 4-H group. I was 15 when I started to breed cockatiels but gave that up after a few years when I focused on being a bratty teenager.
Since then, I married, had a kid, got divorced and had my parents move in with us. About 8 years ago, my father had a debilitating stroke which pretty much left my Mother homebound. I had been hand-feeding several breeders baby birds for them for years, and my mother and I decided to step into the breeding end of it ourselves. We've kept it small and handle-able for the three of us and have had a wonderful time of it!
Our household went from gloomy and sad to active and enjoyable and the fun hasn't stopped since! If ya want to know more, ask me! hehe
