My Beloved Justice

I was honored to be able to enjoy this bird for only a very short while, but she continues to live on in my heart. Justice was the first baby cockatiel I handfed and raised from hatch. She received her name for being "born" on the fourth of July, in 2002. Here is a small picture of her, the only one I had digital since back in '02 I did not own a digital camera. It has been edited to diminish the appearance of cage bars.

July 4 2002 - Oct 17 2005

I used to love taking her outside to enjoy the day and thats what contributed to her untimely death. One day we were outside together. I was near the back yard doing some yard work, and Justice was sitting in her cage on the front porch when the mosquito spraying truck came by and fogged the yard before I could get her out of harms way.

I have her buried in my front yard between two conjoined trees with a tiny bird statue and fence to mark the place. I will be glad to see her again one day.

I am sorry to hear of her passing. its a beautiful picture.
We too have the trucks coming by, and it would be nice if they gave the neighborhood an approximate time so we know to be out of the way....
I hope you made it known to the town what their actions caused.

Such a pretty picture and such a sad story. I am sorry for your loss and hope that all of us will be reunited one day with all the pets/companions we have known and loved.
