Heidi, I am sorry for your loss. We had an accident here on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and one of our little guys, a parakeet named Little Bit, died (and I can't express how much I loved him and how much I miss him). I guess any of us who love birds would do anything to keep them safe sometimes things happen and there is nothing we can do about it. But don't beat yourself up over it because you were trying to do the best you could for him.
