A Poem to think about
My dog(Haribo) died 3weeks ago he was bitten to death by other dogs.
I will never forget him he was alway there for me when I needed him. I tought I have to post this poem because it helped me alot and maby it can help others to. Dedicated to Haribo You can shed tears that he has gone Or you can smile because he has lived You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see that he has left Your heart can be empty because you cannot see him Or you can be full of love that you have shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember him and only that he has gone Or you an cherish his memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want, smile, and open your eyes And love and go on. |

I am sorry to hear that you lost your friend, but am happy you posted this poem, as I think that is what he would have wanted you to do ... to go on. As hard as it is at times to do so, but he will always be there in your memories.
And I really liked the name you picked for him, "Haribo" brings back many memories of good things in my life and all of them sweet. ![]()

Last year, my cat was killed in my front yard by dogs that lived across the road. She was just lounging on the driveway in the sun............But that's not the horrible part.
The sad part is that she was still alive when the dog owner called his dogs back. He took my cat out of the dog's mouth and snapped her neck to kill her - she was badly mauled. But that's not the horrible part..... The horrible part that haunts me is that he just threw her in the garbage bin. I didn't know at the time, or I would have retrieved her. It was too late before we found out the truth. That truth came via an anonymous letter in the mail from another neighbour who saw the event happen. We have a little gnome standing in the part of the garden where Kitty used to hide and watch the world go by. She wasn't a piece of garbage to be thrown away, or to be dismissed with a comment 'she's just a stupid cat'. Yes, that is what the dog owners said. :( Love is love.

Noddy Boit and everyone,
I am so sorry for your losses. I came across this poem and it truly helped me. I lost my Silly, my cockatiel of 13 years, a week ago today. This poem captures a lot of how I feel. Thank you. wjohnna |
