Unhappy in total shock i cant believe they are all gone

One of my very good friends called me not to long ago crying hysterically...I finally got it out of her that there had been a fire, one of her computers apparently had overheated and sparked a fire in her bedroom and attached birdroom. She was not home, thank God, and the neighbors saw the glow coming from her bedroom and called the fire department. They were able to put it out but unfortunatly by the time the house was cleared, all of her fids had died of smoke inhalation... Some of these babies are the reason that I wanted birds, some of the first birds that I fell in love with. I can't imagine how she is feeling right now, I broke down and cried with her on the phone and offered to come and get her but she is staying with family. She lost everyone....

Goodbye Manny, dear sweet loveable Manny, my first and truest love. I met you when I was 10 years old, and was stunned by your brilliant color, your amazing vocabulary, your tenderness and gentle heart. You were Annie's first bird.. her pride, her joy, and you are the reason I got my first macaw, the reason all of my current, and future macaws have "M" names. They are all parts of you. I wouldn't have Milo if it wasn't for you, my sweet baby girl. 22 is not a fair age for a hyacinth to fly over the bridge but I know you are flying free

Jennie and Kilo, the jokers, the dancers, two moluccans who always thought the world was watching them. Rescued as a plucker, Kilo was just starting to grow his feathers back after three years of therapy. Jennie, his bonded friend, would climb onto Kilo's back and say "Giddyup Kilo!" then jump down and laugh. They would fluff up to three times their size and hang by one foot and try to antagonize Manny into coming after them.

Calypso the double yellow headed amazon, who would greet you by name if he knew you well enough, and would sing "Old mcdonald" and "camptown races" pausing sometimes until you would fill in the missing word.

Copper the GCC, and Todd the sunconure- handraised together, sweet babies who would lie on their back and say "tickle tickle tummy!" until you would blow rasberries on their bellies.

Romeo, Juliet, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto- her six lutino lovebirds, four of which are brothers and sisters (Romeo and Juliets babies) that she handraised and who awere so tame and happy. The babies were only 4 months old... if they were loose and you came in they would all fly to your head and shoulders and immediatly start playing in your hair and chittering.

And Apple, her old sweet german shepherd who was pulled alive from the house but died at the vets office- 12 years old, and Annies constant companion since she was 6 weeks old.

I will cry constant rivers of tears for you all, my friends, my God-fids, and for you Annie, my dear friend who devoted your life to your animals, many rescues, all so happy and healthy and well loved that your house was always warm and cozy no matter the sounds coming from it! I love you all..

I'm so very sorry. I can't even start to imagine the pain your friend is in, even knowing her babies will never feel pain again. Please extend my heartfelt condolences.

I am in tears as well. I am sorry for her loss and your pain.
I hope in time, your tears will be replaced with smiles in honor of the ones who taught you how wonderful birds can be.

Oh..I agree that is almost too unbearable to even absorb mentally! Please make sure the lady knows that we are in prayer for her and send our condolences. The time/energy/emotion and love she must have put in all of those to have them gone that quickly is not conceivable.
Fly free funny birds!
